& WHY RYOMA

Prodigy is the first animanga character shrine that I created and started. Now, you're all probably wondering 'why Ryoma?' and yes, even though he's a "prodigy" and hardly ever loses his tennis matches, there's an attraction for him. I don't want to sound too sappy or I'll seem like a pedofile, hahas. First off, I guess one reason why Ryoma became a quick obsession of mine is because of his looks. Despite the fact that he's only 12 at the beginning of the series, I think that he's one of the most attractive characters. I'm just a big suck up to pretty boys ;)

Secondly, his tennis techniques are extraodinary and adds major brownie points to his looks! I find him so cool-looking when he pulls off one of those techniques that he mimics off his past opponents. His attitude and personality is the third thing that contributes to my love for him. He sticks up for his friends even though he doesn't show it directly. In addition, Ryoma's dream to become Number 1 is so strong that I respect him for that. He doesn't seem to ever let the team (Seigaku) down. You can tell he's always determined and even if he's struggling, he continues to try and look "cool" in front of everybody - his teammates, friends, and opponents.

If you know me somewhat well, you would know that another one of my favorite bishounen is Hitsugaya Toushirou from the animanga Bleach. In a way, Ryoma and Hitsugaya are very similar. For one thing, they're both shy about their real feelings and seem to always keep a cool front up so people don't see the fragile parts of them. In addition, they're both the youngest in their leagues and they try to be and act as grown up as they can. They also protect the ones they care about to their full extent and put up with even small battles and it's during their fights/struggles that you see their true feelings surface. To put it into simpler words; I find these kind of attributes simply adorable and lovable<3
